If you’re an emotional eater, like me, the one thing that worked best for me was having a full length mirror in the hallway from my bedroom to the kitchen. Whenever I was said or upset or stressed and I wanted to eat away my feelings, I would stop at the mirror and look at myself and truly ask myself why I wanted to eat. But be careful, the mirror can be your greatest motivator or your worst enemy. You just have to be able to look in the mirror and say “i’ve done so well and exercised so hard, I want to reach that weight. I deserve to look how I want to look.” For me, munchies always stopped as soon as I looked in the mirror because you can’t look yourself straight in the eye and lie to yourself. I hope this helped at least a little. I definitely suggest keeping up on the exercise and eat lots of fruits, veggies, and lean meats! But the mirror thing truly did help me with my binge eating problem.
